Hi! I'm Randi. I am a full time mom, and never thought I would be. After I married my husband I taught school and loved it. That is until my oldest daughter was almost two years old. I realized that even though I loved my students, I spent more time with them than my own daughter. So...I made a change, and now I am a crazy, non- stop, cooking, cleaning, car pool, play date, church going, stay at home mom.

About Me

Thanks for wanting to know more about me!

My name is Randi and I am a wife and mommy. I have been married to David for 6 years and we have two girls. Abby is 3 and Samantha is 6 months old. I always thought we would have 3 kids, but David says we are done. The more and more I think about it the more I agree with him.

I struggled with my weight as a young girl. I was always active, but never understood why I couldn't loose weight. My father used to put me on diets as a child. I hated it and didn't understand. It wasn't until David proposed to me in 2004, that I set forth to become healthy. During this journey, I realized that my problem was not that I was lazy, it was that I ate too much.

So I started Weight Watchers and learned how to consume lower calorie foods. I lost 40 pounds by my wedding day in 2006, and I am now down 50. It has become my life. It is a game for me to eat as much food as I can for the least amount of calories.

Although I believe that eating is a huge part in keeping your weight down, I do support an active lifestyle. This is why I took up running. I started running 2- 3 miles a day once I married David. This helped me maintain my weight and I felt it gave me room for chips and hot sauce on the weekends.

Once I had Samantha I was determined to do a half marathon. I wanted to do this as proof that I could do anything I put my mind to. I trained all Summer...running almost 300 miles in 12 weeks. I ran the half in November and finished! I was so proud of myself...but I will never do it again. It made me realize that our bodies are not made to run that much...at least mine isn't.
